A Strong Emphasis on Connection

Eliot Sinclair’s Urban design team created the foundational master plan, with design narrative support from Debbie Tikao and Traffic Design Group (now Stantec) to resolve the transport network. This plan provided a diverse range of living environments that effectively balanced affordability, promoted a variety of architectural forms, and catered to the needs of both building companies and community home providers. A strong emphasis on connection to open space and expansive views along the Paparua Stream corridor - a future restoration project, was fundamental to the vision.

Enabling Innovative New Communities to Grow

We are thrilled to recently see Karamū Residences - delivered by Kāinga Maha and Home NZ taking out the top prize for the Community and Affordable Housing project at the New Zealand Property Council Awards. It clearly builds on the masterplan for this community and is a significant validation of Ngai Tahu Property's initial vision, and the ability of our experienced team to deliver the underlying plan that enables innovative new communities to grow.

We look forward to the future neighbourhoods at the Riccarton Park Development, and what other exciting opportunities and innovative built environment responses there will no doubt be.
