Emily Lawrence
Resource Management Planner

Emily Lawrence
Resource Management Planner
A passion for connecting people, places, and possibilities drives Emily’ work as a planner. With years of experience inside local government and now on the consultancy side, she thrives on acting as the “translator” between clients, councils, and other stakeholders. Her goal is to help visions take shape while balancing practical requirements and environmental outcomes.
Based in Nelson, she is focused on supporting the region’s growth and strengthening community relationships including with local councils. Creativity, problem-solving, integrity, and environmental stewardship guide her approach. Away from her desk, Emily can be found hiking, biking, or kayaking, often drawing fresh ideas from the landscapes she explores. For her, planning is more than a career, it is a way to help create places where people can truly thrive.
